Budges Road is a supported living learning disability service in Wokingham, providing 24 hour support to adults aged 18+ with mental health needs, high functioning autism and challenging behaviour.
The service sees every aspect of a person’s daily life as a potential learning opportunity. CMG works collaboratively with every individual to develop their daily living skills in areas that may include cooking, shopping and domestic tasks. The service also acknowledges the importance of social inclusion and local community opportunities. Social and recreational activities are tailored to the individuals interests and hobbies. A support plan will enable a targeted approach to achieve positive outcomes. Development of these plans are person centred, realistic and achievable in order to promote independence.
Staff work closely with community teams, other partners and families to ensure that customers continue to access key services. This close working relationship allows everyone involved to focus on recovery and relapse prevention.
CMG Berkshire (formally Sevilles) has been a specialist provider of Mental Health services locally for over 10 years. The Service Manager has been in place for 4 of these years. In this time the service has been developed to ensure it is flexible and responsive to people’s needs. The manager is a well known advocate for mental health services in the area and was nominated for a Pride of Reading award for her Contribution to Mental Health and Community services.
