Description of activity

Helen Arkell is a registered charity based in Frensham, Surrey providing support and a range of services for children, young people and adults as well as employers, employees, educators and other professionals.

The Helen Arkell Dyslexia Centre supports people with dyslexia through:

specialist assessments for children, young people and adults through one of our specialist assessors or educational psychologists
specialist coaching or tuition for people with dyslexia
advice, help and teaching for parents whose children are/may be on the spectrum for dyslexia or other specific learning difficulties
Skills support, assessment and dyslexia awareness training for emloyees and employers
expert teaching in dyslexia for teachers and teaching assistants, leading to OCR qualifications
Saturday morning lectures and a ‘Supporting Learners’ course for teachers and teaching assistants
