Description of activity

Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world. It has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years. It is an official residence of Her Majesty The Queen, whose standard flies from the Round Tower when she is in residence.

Admission to the Castle is free to residents of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead with an Advantage Card.

Concessionary rates are also available for visitors with disabilities and an accompanying companion is admitted free of charge. For a full list of our ticket options, please see the Royal Collection Trust website.

Disabled access

You can find detailed information about the accessibility of Windsor castle including parking and disabled facilities and arrangements for visitors who have mobility difficulties, visual or hearing impairments or who are on the Autism spectrum on the Royal Collection Trust website (opens in new window).
