All 3 and 4 year olds attending an Early Years setting or childminder registered within the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead to claim Early Education Funding, are entitled to a maximum of 15 hours of free childcare per week (term-time), equivalent to a maximum of 570 hours per year.
This starts in the term after a child's 3rd birthday, up to and including the term in which the child turns 5.
Early Years providers must deliver flexible packages of free entitlement hours within the parameters set out in the DfE Statutory Guidance:
- no minimum session length, no session to be longer than 10 hours and no artificial breaks
- sessions can take place every day of the week, including Saturday and Sunday, between 6 am and 8 pm
- a maximum of 2 providers in one day
- meet the quality requirements as set out in the regulations and in the Statutory Guidance

To take up your free entitlement place, please speak to your childcare provider. They will ask you to complete a form and provide proof of your child's date of birth i.e. birth certificate or passport.
