What is the FUEL Programme?

logo

‚ÄčIn 2020, the government announced funding to enable Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programmes to run across the whole of England in 2021. In November 2021 it was announced that the funding would be extended for a further 3 years (2022-2024). The programme has provided healthy food and enriching activities to children who are eligible for benefits related free school meals.

The aim of the FUEL programme is:

  • To eat healthily and understand nutrition
  • To be more active through engaging and enriching activities
  • To be safe and not to be socially isolated
  • To learn more about the different services Achieving for Children have available in the local area

In RBWM the programme has been renamed FUEL (Feed Ur Everyday Lives).
