The school nursing team is a public health nursing service looking after the health and wellbeing of children attending a maintained, academy or free school in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. We consist of specialist practitioners, staff nurses and school health screeners. The school nurse is a registered nurse with a postgraduate qualification in public health.
School nurses are the professional lead for the prevention and early intervention public health programme called the Healthy Child Programme for the age group 5-19 years.
We are here to give confidential advice and support to children, young people and their families.
