Health Visiting

Achieving for Children (AfC) Health Visiting Service in Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead

Public health nursing service for residents of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.  The team consists of specialist community public health nurses (also called ‘Health Visitors’), community nursery nurses and administrative staff.

The service provides:

  • expert information
  • assessments
  • interventions for babies, children and families.

In addition to the universal provision to all clients, the service also supports first-time parents and families with children who have complex needs. Health visitors use a strengths-based model in order to empower parents to make decisions that affect their family’s health and well-being. More information can be found on the main Health Visitors pages.
