School Nursing

COVID 19 & your wellbeing - Coping Guides (external link)

The school nursing team is a public health nursing service looking after the health and wellbeing of children attending a maintained, academy or free school in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.  We consist of specialist practitioners, staff nurses and school health screeners.  The school nurse is a registered nurse with a postgraduate qualification in public health.

School nurses are the professional lead for the prevention and early intervention public health programme called the Healthy Child Programme for the age group 5-19 years.

We are here to give confidential advice and support to children, young people and their families.

Please note that the School Nursing Service no longer delivers the National Immunisation Programme.  For all school-based immunisation queries, please visit BHFT Immunisation Services
