Description of activity
Esteem is a place where you are made to feel comfortable and are given the opportunity to make new friends. You get to try new things, which can help to boost your self confidence.
The aim of the group is to bring young people together from across the area and different schools and colleges giving you the chance to make friends in a new setting. Members of the group plan the sessions with support from staff to ensure the activities on offer are of interest to you.
The sessions are for 10 - 15 year olds and are run from Manor Youth Centre, Hanover Way.
Tuesdays, 6.00 - 8.00pm
This group is open to young people with additional needs who are able to manage in a mainstream youth club and do not require one to one support.

The venue for Esteem is fully accessible with lift access & disabled toilets but no changing facilities. Staff will soon be trained in Autism awareness.
Description of Eligibility or Referral Criteria and Pathways (if applicable)
Windsor Esteem is for 10-15 year olds. Places are available by referral only and a trial session.
Esteem provides positive activities for young people who are at risk of social isolation. This may be due to many reasons including; low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, long term medical conditions (such as M.E),bullying or family circumstances.
This group is open to young people with additional needs who are able to manage in a mainstream youth club and do not require one to one support. We would look at each young person's needs on a case by case basis.
Membership is by referral only, please contact the Youth Worker for an informal chat & referral form (where appropriate) will be sent out with session dates. Referrers can expect a response in no more than 10 working days.
